On this week's episode of the Black Moms Chat podcast, Adanna Dill and Schnelle Acevedo discuss Black motherhood on television.
They chat about their favorite Black TV moms from their childhood, and how they feel about them now as an adult.
They share which Black on-screen moms they find most relatable and who they think is “mom goals”. Their thoughts on whether or not Black on-screen motherhood downplays the challenges of the Black motherhood experience. As well as the Black on-screen moms with characteristics or parenting styles that's different to theirs.
This week's Black mom we stan is Melle Odee who founded robotics teams for her community, which eventually led to starting a nonprofit and creating a robotics program.
